The Family Information Service is recruiting to the position of Advice Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy team that provide impartial information, advice and guidance on childcare options, early education funding and services available to children, young people and families.
You will do this through a range of channels including telephone helpline, e-mail, social media and on occasion face to face. You will also support early education providers to manage their information online to enable regular monitoring of childcare sufficiency.
You will need to have experience in an advice and guidance role, ideally with a relevant level 3 qualification. Experience of administration, databases and online systems is essential, alongside excellent organisational skills.
We're also looking for strong customer service skills with the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations and to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
