Trafford is a prosperous and sought-after place to live with excellent parks and green spaces and thriving town centres, each with their own unique identity and including the popular and lively modern market hall in Altrincham, and major cultural and leisure destinations including a dedicated arts centre, theatre and the Intu Trafford Centre - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations.
We are a key asset to the region with a place at the top table of the Northern Powerhouse - essential to Greater Manchester's growth plans - contributing over GBP 9.6bn to the Greater Manchester economy. There are 23,000 homes to be built by 2035 and 1.12m square metre of new employment space. We have the development of the University Academy 92 (UA92) which opens up new avenues for economic growth and regeneration.

Leaders who are highly motivated, act with integrity and can engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholder both internally and externally.You will be expected to lead the commercial work stream within the Development team.Working with the Council's finance team to prepare and review commercial viability, cost planning, contract negotiations and the internal governance requirements to deliver positive outcomes for the Council.
Set the direction of partnerships and joint venture opportunities within the Development Management team ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
Lead on the development of business cases, cost plans and funding strategies to support the Council's development activities.
