Trafford Council
Trafford is a thriving, prosperous and culturally vibrant borough and is a major driver of economic growth. It forms part of the Manchester Regional Centre and is home to Manchester United, Coronation Street, the intu Trafford Centre, excellent schools and Greater Manchester's most affluent suburbs.
Trafford is a key player in the Greater Manchester devolution agenda and the Northern Powerhouse. The Planning and Development Service has recently been restructured with the creation of two new Area Teams (East and West) and Major Developments Team.
The Council's offices are located less than 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre, close to Old Trafford Metrolink Station. The popular residential areas of Altrincham, Sale, Chorlton and Didsbury are within 15 minutes travel time.
